Christ Craft Barrel Back

In 1940, Chris-Craft designed a new hull called the barrel back. Today this boat is among the most highly desirable of the famed Chris-Crafts.

This Barrel Back model features:

- 1:8 scale

- Scratch-built from official plans.

-
Plank-on-frame construction.

-
Heartwood Honduras Mahogany.  This best mahogany type is used by real boat builders.

-
Deck is made of real individual thin strips of  planks, not a large piece of wood with faked lines.

- 11 layers of paint and varnish.  Each was left to dry and micro sanded before apply another layer.

- Precisely duplicates the real boat's elegantly curved hull and wealth of detailing

-
Realistic gauges, switches...

- Epoxy waterproof.

- Ready for RC installation.

- Available seats: green, white.

Dimension: 28.5"L x  9.5" W    $690

Ready for RC installation (hatch opened) : $790

(Shipping is $60 in the US and $120 outside the US.)

Dimension: 57" L x 19" w         $1,500

(Shipping is $220 in the US and $440 outside the US)

Save big on this discontinued large model.  The craftsman is retired and no more will be built.  This model is destined to be a great collection item as no one has ever built the Barrel Back model this large.
