She was a ruthless plunderer, raider, and menace to the
sea faring vessels in the Caribbean Sea. She is
commonly referred to as "Toothless Annie."

Queen Anne's Revenge was
the largest pirate ships to ever sail the Spanish
Main. No ship played a more dramatic role in the
history of piracy in the Americas. Blackbeard used
Queen Anne's Revenge as his prime weapon during the
height of his reign of terror. During the 7 months
in Blackbeard's command, Queen Anne's Revenge took a whooping 18 ships.

Adventure Galley

Kidd was such a successful privateer in New York and the
West Indies that he was called back to serve England.
The King’s officers offered him a new powerful ship: the
Adventure Galley. The Adventure Galley was well
suited to the task of catching pirates; weighing over
284 tons, equipped with 34 cannons, and 150 men.

Flying Dutchman

On 11 July 1881, the Royal Navy ship Bacchante
was rounding the tip of Africa, when they were
confronted with the sight of The Flying Dutchman.
The midshipman, a prince who later became King
George V, recorded that the lookout man and the

Henry Morgan had a fearsome reputation as a naval
strategist and ruthless pirate operating against
Britain's enemies, Spain, France and Holland.
He led his crew on many successful raids,
including a spectacular attack on Panama City in
1670 that earned him a knighthood.
Morgan's
Bluff, the highest point on Andros Island, is
named after him.

used predominantly in the Mediterranean by Barbary pirates. They were stable and very fast and could reach 200 tons,
carried up to 24 cannon and 200 crewmen. Xebec were
capable of sailing with different sets of sail.

was a movie star in the movie Pirate by Roman
Polanski. Pirate was a 1987 Academy awards
nominee and a César awards winner. Neptune is
now stationed at Genoa Harbor in Italy.

Prince de Neufchatel

The Prince de Neufchatel was built in New York in
1813. It was one of the fastest and most
successful
privateers
of the War of 1812. Among numerous
prizes stood the record 6 prizes in 6 days in the
English Channel in 1814 and outrunning all 17 times
chases by men-of-war that summer.
