TEASER T-1
The award-winning Teaser became famous by winning
the celebrated time trial against the Twentieth
Century Limited train from New York City to Albany in
1925. She beat the record by more than an hour. The
Twentieth Century Limited was the fastest train on
the rails at that time.
The avid raceboat enthusiast Edsel Ford saw the
famous Teaser in action and
contacted the
yard that built the Teaser and had a copy built for
his own personal use, naming it the
Typhoon.
This Teaser model features:
- Scratch-built from official plans,
precisely duplicates the real boat's elegantly
curved hull and wealth of details.
-
Plank-on-frame
construction.
-
Deck and hull: real individual planks, not a large piece of wood with fake lines,
NOT wood veneer on plastic.
