The cruise ship Europa 2 is a beautiful vessel. Her most appealing feature is space ratio that is
about 80 which is the highest in the luxury cruise
segment. (For easy apprehension of space ratio,
consider the fact that the world’s largest cruise ship
Oasis of the Seas has a space ratio of around 40.)
The Europa 2 feels not crowded at all when sailing at
full capacity with 516 passengers. Not only the
double-height ceilings common areas and the
spacious Owner’s suites and two Grand Penthouse suites
that hugely impress travelers but also the bathrooms
which are more like mini-spas with windows looking out
to the sea.

Another
feature that is worth noticing is that her servers are
English-speaking Europeans, mainly Germans, not ethnic
groups as with most of other the cruise operators. Europa 2’s staff-to-guest ratio: 1.4:1, a
very high standard. Europa 2 features eight restaurants, all at no extra
charge.

Potential travelers should expect a European-ambience on
board, with emphasis on the company’s Germanic roots.
Evidences of German penchant for timeliness, cleanliness
and organization are abound. Smoking is allowed on
verandas and in designated areas, including some in
public rooms and lounges.
Europa 2
caters to families. Children 11 and under travel
free of charge when accompanied by two cruise
guests. Dedicated kids’ facilities include the
“Knopf Club”, the “Kids Club”, the “Teens Club”.
She has seven family style suites with two separate
areas, connected by a door and shared balcony.
Perhaps for this reason, the ship lacks a casino.
