Prince Madog is a state-of-the-art, purpose built
research vessel commissioned by Bangor University using
a £3.5 million Joint Infrastructure Fund grant. She was
delivered July 2001, managed
and operated by P&O
Maritime Services.
Designed to take up to ten scientists and
20 students, the vessel enables the UK's marine scientists to study
the biology, chemistry, geology and physics of our seas.
The School of Ocean Sciences, Bangor and other
university departments in the UK use the vessel as
a teaching platform, training the next generation of
marine scientists.
This Prince Madog
research vessel model is 53" (135 cm) long. She was commissioned in 2007. If you'd like to have a similar model
or any exploration vessel, we can certainly build an
accurate and beautiful model, at virtually any
sizes, for you. please

"I
am marine biologist at Bangor University and I also
have an interest in making scale research vessels. I
saw your you tube channel of the RC Prince Madog. Well done on a great build. I use the real RV Prince Madog for my research (picture is of myself on the
main deck.) My ambition is to make myself a static
1:200 model of the Prince Madog at some point (but i
need to finish my Ifremer Le Suroit build first."
