Hatteras Yachts is a US
company based in North Carolina. The company develops
its Hatteras models in its shipyard which is over 280,000
square feet of fabrication space for its top-level naval
designers, architects, engineers, craftsman, carpenters.
Hatteras has a showroom in Fort Lauderdale.
For over
60 years, Hatteras Yachts has been synonymous with the
strength and durability to survive the treacherous
waters of Cape Hatteras for which they were named.
Hatteras began when Hatteras founder, Willis Slane,
envisioned a new breed of fishing boat. One strong
enough to tame the waves off Cape Hatteras. That vision
gave birth to the Knit Wits--the first fiberglass yacht
over 40 feet which revolutionized the boatbuilding
industry. Ever since that initial breakthrough vessel,
Hatteras has offered a level of craftsmanship focused on
perfecting every detail. Hatteras Yachts passionately
creates boats that confidently cut through the waters
and give their owners the ultimate experience.
Decks and house tops have always been balsa cored. If
you've ever noticed that Hatteras yachts are notably
quieter inside than most others, that's because of the
wonderful acoustic properties of balsa.

Did you notice that many
model makers did not show their models’ hulls and
sterns? It is because they make too much guesswork and
their models' hull would look terrible if shown.
It's easier for some shops to say "museum quality"
than to show. We at ModelShipMaster.com post very large photos for you to see
the unparalleled
accuracy and unrivaled craftsmanship. Nobody builds better yacht
models than ModelShipMaster.
